I find myself having a hard time rating and reviewing this story. While I really enjoyed it there were MAJOR flaws in it.

About the plot:
The plot to this was relatively simple as one would expect in a quick read like this. However whereas other erotica stories are scarce on the world building this was not. Frost set up the story wonderfully for such a short story. It was so nice to read a piece of erotica with an enjoyable storyline (even if small) and not simply sex.

About the sex:
One word - BLAZING!!

What the problem was:
The Editing - It was HORRIBLE. I had to force myself to keep reading. In all honesty If Frost's writing style hadn't shown such promise I would have stopped reading at page 2 or 3. There were numerous punctuation problems and tons of skipped and wrong words. The other editing issue that got to me was the multiple use of the same word in a sentence. At one time a word appeared 4 times in 1 sentence.

The Cover - Point blank - I hate it. It's too dark. Also Holly doesn't wear lingerie in the story. The title takes up way too much room and oh and let's not forget that the title is WRONG. WTF? Why does the cover title say werebears when the book title says alphas?

The Title - #1 See the above complaint. #2 IMHO the title should be werebears since they weren't actually alphas. #3 On Amazon the title has themes/tags in it. Though I find that annoying that's not what the problem is. The problem is that it says "erotica romance". It's either erotica or romance. It can't be both and this is erotica. Also, there wasn't anything dark about the story.

The Blurb - The blurb for this story say that the guys take her hard. No so. They weren't cherishing her but they weren't really rough with her either.

The Price - I got this through Kindle Unlimited so it was free but it costs $2.99 to buy it. That's the normal price for a story such as this but at only 36 pages, in this day and age of the 99 cent deal, it should only cost that. Especially considering all the issues.

Will I try to read Frost's work again? IDK. I like her style but I find it disrespectful to the reader when an author publishes a piece of work with so many mistakes.

But after that it only gets better and hotter, a lot hotter!

That is so hot. I want more! This story is about a wallflower type girl becoming bold and daring. Having 5 guys having sex with one woman is really hot. I didn't think that was possible until I read this. Now I am going to look for more books like this.

About the Author
Prof Dogan Ibrahim graduated from the University of Salford with First Class Honours in Electronic Engineering. He then completed an MSc course in Automatic Control Engineering at the University of Manchester, and PhD in Digital Signal Processing at the City University in London. Prof Ibrahim worked at several companies before returning to the academic life. He is currently a lecturer at the Department of Computer Information Systems at the Near East University. Prof Ibrahim is a Fellow of the IET, and a Chartered Electrical Engineer. His interests are in the fields of microcontroller based automatic control, digital signal processing, and computer aided design.

A great book for the beginners on feedback control

I'm so sorry Dogan. But I've had your book for three years and it's not until now that I do a review of it. And your book is very very good book for learning about thermistors and feedback control. The first chapters are about the different kind of temperature sensors and what enviroment they are used in. Then the book goes on with the typical C-learning for beginners and the compiler used is FED C-compiler which is actually very good and has a lot of features. The laster chapters is about how to do an PI and PID controller with an 8-bit. Unfortunately the case study is for a slow measurement controller and not a fast controller, but with a little understanding of the topic you should have work as a fast controller (I succeeded :o)). But your book really taught me a lot about feedback control theory and practice, and I got the second highest grade at my final exam at University. So thank you for a really good book.

Iconic artwork from one of science fiction's premiere illustrators

John Harris and his iconic paintings have been a part of the science fiction community for nearly four decades. He brings an impressionistic sensibility to his bold, massive space landscapes that make each piece stand out as a distinct work of art. Generations of readers have discovered his work because of the science fiction novels graced with his creations. Harris continues to be a prolific creator whose work resides on the covers of some of the biggest names in SF literature. This new retrospective is a welcome body of work and should be added to your collection the moment it is released.

John Scalzi provides the foreword to this collection of art, which is fitting given the volume of work Harris has created for John Scalzi’s Old Man’s War series over the past decade, including 13 original works to go along with each chapter, released weekly in 2013, for The Human Division.

In it, Scalzi touches on the inspirational power of works of art, giving the example of how John Harris’ painting chosen for the cover of The Ghost Brigade, stirred his imagination at a time when he had hit a roadblock in the execution of that very novel.

John Scalzi states, “John’s artwork, like that of Richard Powers or Frank Kelly Freas, is iconic, and also Bookstore Iconic–which is to say you can see it from across a bookstore, and when you see it, you know what you’re going to get in the pages of that book: A damn fine read that takes you places you can’t go any other way.”.

I find that an apt description because, unlike some cover artists, John Harris is not creating a painting to illustrate specific scenes in a novel but is instead creating a work whose scope and scale evokes some sense of expectation and emotion. His paintings inspire daydreaming about the places they depict.

The title of John Harris’ first art book is Mass, and it is a fitting title given that so much his work centers on great hulking ships, buildings, and planets and how these massive elements exist in relation to one another. In this new collection, Harris talks about how scientific concepts of mass and gravity and spatial relationships are important to him in his work and yet he will at times bend, or violate, those concepts in one way in order to promote them in another.

The Art of John Harris: Beyond the Horizon covers some thirty-five plus years of his career and showcases not only paintings used as cover images for a variety of science fiction novels, but also works he has created over the years for an ongoing story in images that he regularly adds to, as well as paintings inspired by NASA images of Earth from space and other non-book-related works.

While the look Harris achieves is accurately defined as “iconic”, this book shows the full range of his work, including some of the early roughs and pastel sketches that provide the foundation for his finished paintings. This glimpse at the process is insightful, especially as those roughs are also small works of art in and of themselves.

I became aware of the work of John Harris at an early age and have been a fan from the first time I laid eyes on one of his book covers. His work for authors like Ben Bova, Orson Scott Card, John Scalzi and Jack McDevitt cover many years of creative effort and he continues to provide cover work for these authors today. I personally value cover art consistency across book series and I give kudos to the book companies and their creative directors who continue to employ John Harris to create beautiful art.

When I think back to what attracted me to science fiction as a child, and what continues to spark my interest today, it is the sheer enormity and vastness of space. Our solar system is enormous, and that is but a speck of dust in comparison to the greater universe. John Harris captures that sense of the awesomeness of space and does so with rich, sometimes strikingly colorful images. Titan Books has created a wonderful tribute to John Harris’ career to date; it is a lovely volume worth adding to any collection of art books. The release of the book is timely given that John Harris is on the shortlist for Best Professional Artist at this year’s Hugo Awards in London. The May 27th release provides a gorgeous visual reminder of his talent and several of his eligible works from last year are included in this volume. As John Harris has strongly influenced my imagination over the years, I am pleased to see his work presented in a high quality volume at a price that everyone can enjoy.

Total waste of time and money

I was a Complete Idiot to buy this book! I read only three-fourths of this book before I had to put it away for good. As someone with very low self-esteem, I was hoping this book would help me feel less inferior around other people, help me gain a better body image, and help me to feel more confident speaking to a group of people. This book did nothing of the sort. Instead, it repeatedly stated the importance of volunteering for your community. Although volunteering is a wonderful thing to do, I don't think this sole action is what it takes to help a person with low self-esteem. Perhaps the author should have titled it "CIG to Community Volunteering." This book did nothing to help me improve my self-esteem.

A Complete Idiot's Guide to Writing a Review of this book

I am always wary of books that begin with the accolade of 'The Complete Idiot's Guide' as it suggests that those who buy such books, are, indeed complete idiots.
Not believing myself to be in this category but being in search of ways to boost morale and productivity and teamwork I bought this book after having flicked through and found the contents to be short and well illustrated with anecdotes, humour and other such features to make this appealing to even the most reluctant readers.
This book certainly has all of those things and at a basic level it does a useful job in highlighting a number of features which help in enhancing self-esteem. The book is clearly well meaning but misses it's target by a long way.
My understanding of what this book is meant to be is as a self-study workbook. To some extent it is but really does not go far enough to help those who suffer from lack of self-esteem. Let me give one very crucial example. The author cites S.W.O.T. analysis, the first being Strengths, the second being weakness. The reader is asked to list his or her greatest strengths and serious weaknesses. However, there is no guidance given as to how someone should determine those, and, given that those who lack self-esteem do not feel good about themselves to begin with, they will find it hard to list strengths and will feel that they have more than three weaknesses.
The book does serve as an introduction to the problem and does point the way to some exercises that can be done to assist in enhancing self-esteem. For anyone serious about tackling this problem this is not the book for them.
...or of course I could just be a complete idiot and have missed the point of this book alltogether. Hmmm

Not very helpful for raising self esteem

I found this book pretty much useless for boosting my self esteem. The advice given in the book was poor with silly, little quotes and poems. I felt that it was lacking good, hard research on low self esteem and how to improve one's self esteem. Unfortunately, there is nothing that I took away from the book to help me with that.
